Notes by Northwest
Notes by NW celebrates the music and the musicians with roots in the Pacific NW. Artists range from the Wailers and Ventures from the 1960s, to Ray Charles and Quincy Jones, each of whom lived in Seattle and met with they were 16 and 14; to icons like Kenny Loggins and Heart; Jimi Hendrix, of course; the grunge bands and their offspring; and contemporary artists like Brandi Carlile and The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio.

The typical melange of PNW music, including three selections from Nevermind, Nirvana's breakthrough 1991 release in the third hour. I just finished reading the terrific biography of Kurt Cobain, Heavier Than Heaven and been on a Nirvana kick of late. Great music, sad story, unhappy ending.
