Notes by NW celebrates the music and the musicians with roots in the Pacific NW. Artists range from the Wailers and Ventures from the 1960s, to Ray Charles and Quincy Jones, each of whom lived in Seattle and met with they were 16 and 14; to icons like Kenny Loggins and Heart; Jimi Hendrix, of course; the grunge bands and their offspring; and contemporary artists like Brandi Carlile and The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio.

Another day in paradise, another show featuring music with a PNW connection. You'll hear a terrifying (to me) mid show technical goof (by me) at the end of the second hour, but if you ignore that brief moment of freak out, you'll enjoy the rest of the show. Community radio, overconfident people, and passion over process are a dangerous brew.
