Notes by NW celebrates the music and the musicians with roots in the Pacific NW. Artists range from the Wailers and Ventures from the 1960s, to Ray Charles and Quincy Jones, each of whom lived in Seattle and met with they were 16 and 14; to icons like Kenny Loggins and Heart; Jimi Hendrix, of course; the grunge bands and their offspring; and contemporary artists like Brandi Carlile and The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio.

The first two hours of the show was a tribute for Mother's Day, with all songs by PNW artists about their moms. Happy Mother's Day, mom!
The last hour was the typical third hour--loud and grunge-y.
